The
Allentown Rotary Club, like many not-for-profit institutions needs
to occasionally raise funds to be able to continue to provide service
to our youth, to our community and to our world. Some fundraising
programs include the Allentown Rotary
Club 5k Walk / Run and the sale of Hand-Turned Lodgepole Pine
Walking Sticks.
Allentown
Rotary Club 5k Walk / Run
2010
marked the First Allentown Rotary Club 5k Walk / Run.
Through Participation from walkers, runners and our sponsors,
we have been able to support important causes like the Roger
& Louise Mullin Scholarship and PolioPlus.

Walking
Sticks
One
fundraising initiative is the sale of our Hand-Turned Lodgepole
Pine Walking Sticks. The walking sticks come in three different
sizes: small (4'), medium (4' 6'') and large (5') and are very
well-made. They include a leather wrist strap and the words "Appalachian
Trail" branded on the side. The Proceeds from each walking
stick goes directly to the Allentown Rotary Club Foundation where
it's used for programs like Pool
Pals, Romper
Day, Monte
Carlo Night at the Good Shepherd, Polio
Plus and ShelterBox,
among others.
If
you have purchased one of the Hand-Turned Lodgepole Pine Walking
sticks through the Allentown Rotary Club and would like to be
showcased on this web site using it, simply send an e-mail with
your picture and story (please include the location) to: info@allentownrotary.org.Thanks!
